Workshop Supervisor

Dickey Boats is pleased to offer the brand new role of Workshop Supervisor, within its Operations team.

You will be providing team leadership and project management for all projects.  Drive quality, efficiency and health and safety throughout the finishing teams.  You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project management of builds and projects
  • Supervisor of technical Fitout teams
  • Supervisor of Interiors team
  • Health and safety
  • Leading quality
  • Leading efficiency
  • Documentation of builds

Your number one focus in this role will be to ensure that every boat that gets handed over to a customer exceeds their expectations and matches Dickey Boats high standards.  To achieve these goals, you will lead and work with a team of highly skilled marine technicians and cabinetmakers.  This is a very important role for Dickey Boats and it requires a technical background with project management experience.

The role has room for growth and the successful applicant will have a pivotal hand in deliverying some of the best vessels in the world to our valued customers working alongside our extremely talented team.

The successful applicant will come to this role with a desire for learning and will progress a career as part of an innovative, quality-driven team.

Ideally, you will:

  • Offer proven experience in a supervisory role with demonstrated skills driving efficiency, quality and health & safety in your team
  • Have a trade qualification in Boat Building or Marine Systems demonstrated experience in a relevant role
  • Enjoy being at the cutting edge of marine technology
  • Have demonstrated skills and experience successfully leading multiple projects
  • Be a capable and hands-on leader, using your technical expertise to deliver outstanding results for customers
  • Carry a team attitude and an exemplary work ethic
